2012 Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts
“The Breezeway”
The Breezeway captured the attention of L2 Interiors with its magnificent barrel vaulted ceiling, original Terra Cotta floors and custom iron doors.  It had all the makings for a beautiful space, but was being used as a mire passageway and area for the family dog to sleep.  L2 Interiors found inspiration from around the home; from the original tile work, iron gates and unique doors.  They had a concept of highlighting the ceiling with a large mural; a rug on the ceiling.  They pulled traditional Spanish patterns, motifs and colors into the space to bring their concept to life.
An interior space that can double as an exterior with sights of the garden and the fabulous iron work of the Breezeway doors.  While you are enjoying a cup of coffee with the daily newspaper, or taking your shoes off before entering the house, you can sit comfortably and listen to the peaceful water feature.  L2 Interiors changed this space for peace and quiet with a colorful mural on the ceiling and decorative tile base and chair moldings. A chandelier that is meticulously placed in the center of the rug-like mural provides mood lighting.  The use of plants throughout bring the life inside. Its spa-like experience, before you enter or walk through the other spaces of the house, makes this a perfect place for comfort.
